Do you offer free trials?
We only offer paid trials. There is a charge for two classes to give your child a chance to try out our classes for a couple of weeks. Once they have trialled our classes we will contact you to see if you would like your child to continue for the remainder of the term. If they do continue classes with us the trial fee will be deducted from your first terms invoice.
When do your classes run?
We run our classes alongside the school terms. Terms are approximately 12 weeks depending on when the school holidays fall. We always show our term dates on our web page and also on our invoices. Our classes do not run over the summer holidays.
How do we pay for classes?
Classes are invoiced on a termly basis. Payment can be made online or via cash handed into the class teacher.
Can my child only start on the first week of term?
We accept students at any point during the term. You don’t need to wait until a new school term to join us.
What are the Dance Crews?
We have two dance crews - The Hop Steppers (8-13 years) and Royal Steps (14-18 years). Students audition once a year to be a part of the crew. All students have to re-audition every year. Our crews were created to allow our students more opportunities to perform.
Does my child get to perform?
All of our dance students are offered an opportunity to perform on stage at our biennial summer show. This is a great experience for dancers of all ages and our students always finish the day with a massive smile on their face.
Do you do competitions?
We are not a competition based school. Most of our students attend classes just for fun. For those who are looking to push themselves further and gain more opportunities to perform we encourage them to audition for our dance crews.
My child has never danced before. Can they still join?
We have students joining our classes at any age with a variety of experiences. Our classes cater for a range of abilities.
What should my child wear/ bring to class?
Your child can wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in. We also have our Dance Inspired t-shirts that some of our students like to wear to class. In our street dance classes students dance in trainers and in cotemporary students can dance with bare feet or foot thongs.
They need to bring a water bottle to class (non-fizzy).
What if my child does not want to attend the classes anymore?
We require half a terms notice. Please send an email to let us know you plan to withdraw the child from class.
